1. Have worked extensively with various Arab-American organizations in the U.S. (Arab Women's Council, ADC, Save Lebanon, etc.) and have toured the U.S. and Canada extensively from 1982 to 1991 to speak on the humanitarian costs of war. Have addressed the media, community organizations, universities, major philanthropies as the Ford Foundation and the Catholic Center and several governmental sectors as the State Department and members of Congress.

2. Have also spoken on the humanitarian costs of the Lebanese war at the U.N. General Assembly, Special Conference on Palestine, Geneva, 1983; at the ADC National Conventions, Washington, D.C., 1984, 1985; at several WHO, UNICEF and UNESCO meetings, 1984,1987, 1988; and at The Canadian Institute for International Peace and Security, 1990 (two sessions). Have visited with the Arab League in Tunis in 1983 to discuss US perceptions of Arab issues.

3. Have spearheaded fund raising in the U.S. and Canada for relief organizations, primarily Save Lebanon Inc., and have managed their relief programs in Lebanon, particularly the organization of transfer of injured children to the US for medical treatment, the establishment of a hospital in Kfar Matta and the distribution of medical equipment to various regional hospitals.
