Background/Career Objective
I am a tertiary qualified in Construction Material Department (Piping, Mechanical, Steel Structure, Civil, Electrical and Instrumentation) professional, and over a 29-year period I have established a strong track record of performance and achievement in competitive Warehouse operating in International and Cold/Frozen zone areas. Currently I am taking rest, for seeking good opportunities to develop my career. Before I was worked as a Material Control - Warehouse Manager and Lead Supervisor for Toyo Engineering, Japan and Chiyoda Corporation, Japan Projects Engineering and construction contracting company's with a particularly diverse portfolio of services and an A-grade clientele comprised of international companies and Oil and Gas organizations. I have lived and worked in India, Middle East, Russia, Papua New Guinea, Japan, Turkmenistan and Malaysia for a number of years, and was head-hunted for my current role because of the strong reputation I have established as an astute, business-focused and innovative supply chain specialist who gets results. Although I enjoy and appreciate my previous employment, I believe it is time to move on to the next challenge. I am flexible and open to whatever opportunities may become available to me either in the Middle East or, indeed, anywhere in the world. My objective is to continue doing what I do well, whilst taking my career to the next level. Personality Snapshot
Generally regarded as being an open, friendly and approachable person, I am outgoing and gregarious. My positive outlook on life enables me to break down barriers and establish solid relationships with others based on mutual understanding, trust and respect. This is the interpersonal aspect of my personality. In counter-balance to this, is my astute work sense and strong drive to succeed in all that I do. I readily grasp complex concepts and understand the big picture of the global context in which I operate, and this capacity has been pivotal to successful performance in challenging and complex International and Cold/Frozen environments where confident and accurate decision-making is required, sometimes on an almost minute- by-minute basis. I thrive in a role that I find intellectually challenging, and I am at my best when negotiating with other parties when the stakes are high. This reflects, in part, the risk taking aspect of my personality. Jayan Divakaran
