A faculty position where my education and training, as well as my professional, teaching and administrative experience can be effectively utilized. I enjoy working with students and understand all the issues that impact academic success, as well as the processes that should be implemented to achieve necessary goals and outcomes, both in a traditional (face-to-face) environment and in an online setting.
EXPERIENCE

Retired, and currently spend most of my time traveling, reading, writing, running marathons/ultramarathons, and supporting my city, Jacksonville, as a member of the Council on Elder Affairs. However, I look forward to actively re-engaging myself in academics, especially, in an adjunct capacity.

Prior to retiring, I was the learning community leader and subject matter expert in anatomy/physiology, pharmacology and pharmacotherapeutics. Also, was advisor to students that are enrolled in the graduate programs in health, including the MPH, MSN and MHA programs, as well as supported and chaired the committees tasked in the development of the College of Health Professions core curriculum.
I retired to focus on other goals in life, as well as to devote more time to my family.

Chief Academic Officer of the College responsible for all educational activities at the college in addition to retention and other metrics.
Responsible for curriculum development, instructor development and evaluation, program development and accreditation and support of the college president in the day-to-day administration of the institution.
Chair of the program advisory committee (PAC) meetings and responsible for the implementation of the changes and improvements recommended by the different committees.
Responsible for the college’s Institutional Effectiveness Planning (IEP),
the Annual Institutional Reports (AIR), IPEDs and Sarbanes-Oxley
(SOX) compliance.

Chaired and documented our program advisory committee meetings and implemented changes and improvements recommended by the different committees.
Assisted in our Institutional Effectiveness Planning and programmatic/institutional accreditation readiness.
Was responsible for student and faculty advising and acted as the chief retention officer of the College.
Was also tasked with developing new programs and successfully passing them through accreditation approvals. One major example is the Respiratory Therapy program, the second such program in the State of Utah, that I was involved in developing.
