DUTIES;

•Checking the workmanship materials for conformity with the drawings, specification, inspections and inform Resident Engineer and the contractor where this is not achieved.

•Noting of instructions and any other relevant directives on to the drawings used in inspection to ensure that they are taken into account.

•Preparation of a written list of any points which may require attention in conjunction with the resident Engineer, where the contractor has asked for inspection. To pass the list of contractors foreman.

•To attend during concreting of minor drainage works. To ensure that the workmanship is satisfactory and to observe the formwork. To check the workability of concrete

•To keep a daily record of weather, the work in progress, inspection carried out, concrete placed, movement of key plants, points of special difficulties or contention, other items of special interest and his own hours attendance on the site.

•To note the hours worked on any item designated as day work or any other work which may involve extra cost and to inform the Resident Engineer.

•To keep other Resident Engineer’s staff informed on matters, which may affect their work.
