• Determine the required materials and management processes for new and existing products using Microsoft NAV ERP and generating purchase orders.

• Develop and maintain all MRP and downstream processes related to MRP in Microsoft NAV

Duties and Responsibilities

Reporting directly to the Director-Procurement and Partner Relations. The key responsibility is to establish and operate efficient and effective Supply chain Processes necessary to maximize profit margins and ensure that organization meets its delivery commitments and implement best practices. Currently handling 7 categories-Electronics, Farm, Energy, Baby, School, Construction and Transport with a minimum of 700 SKUs per Category.

• Develop Categories Strategy, projects and Market Insights-Category pricing and promotions across market channels, Competitor insights, develop new strategies on how to improve the categories revenues e.g., Hampers, bundles combos etc.

• Categories Budget Execution-category growth in line with the financial model i.e ensuring the successful execution and submission of Revenue, Margin, and product mix. Monitoring and evaluation of onboarded SKUs to ensure they generate the desired revenue while at the same time earns the company the desired margins. Manage the categories inventory.

• Monitor Performance through Marketing and merchandizing-Execution of category Revenue, Margins and Mix. Recommend the product lines driven by the market demand, Appraise and support new product Ideas, Support the listing process through the ROI analysis, Access the product market data etc.

• Managed to grow the absolute Revenue for 7 categories from an average of 16Million to an average of 41 Million within a span of 3 months through merchandizing.

• Made a record of category savings of 2.9million Kenya shillings within a year through better negotiations.

• Better vendor management allowed the company to get the necessary services even during times of crisis for the manufacturers like instances of goods rationing due to raw material shortage of maintenance at the plants.

• Reduced logistics cost from 670/= per drop to 320/= per drop via direct deliveries done to the customers by the suppliers

• Mentorship of junior staff who are currently giving exemplary performance in their current roles of category managers from internship.

• Within the last quarter of the year 2013 I managed to reduce construction department cost on local and warehouse purchases with a total savings of 670,607.67 KSH for 16 construction projects

• Within the first quarter of the year 2014 I managed to make a cost savings on logistics budget by a total savings of 710,182.89 KSH on logistics during the same period. 3

• I learnt the BIA Navision ERP system within 3 months while working at the warehouse and ensured that the inventory management reports that were required were generated from the system. Ensured that all shipment notes were generated from Navision and receipts posted in the system in time and the GRN (goods received notes) generated in time for payment processes and inventory report updated.

• Introduced the Tally sheets used at the warehouse for receipt and dispatches.
