PCBH is an independently owned behavioral health clinic. I had the pleasure of working there, short term, for the last few months. I did however leave on my own terms after facing an unhealthy working environment.
During my time there I learned some important skills that I put to good use in my everyday life. Some of these skills include but not limited to: Organizing/planning, scheduling, creating professional styled emails, keeping verbal and written communications, making, and taking phone calls, collecting payments, checking insurance eligibility.
I used computer programs such as Microsoft, Google Drive, OneDrive, Citrix/Delphi, etc.
STORE MANAGER COLBEA ENTERPRISES 09/2013-02/2021
Colbea is a franchise that owns multiple Season Corner Markets and Shell Gas Stations throughout Massachusetts. I’ve managed different locations as a traveling manager before I began running my current store down in Yarmouth MA.
During my time as a traveling manager, I’ve trained not only employees but also other managers.
I provide excellent customer service and ensure customer satisfaction during every visit.
I keep proper communication with employees, coworkers, supervisors, and even customers.
Some of my main tasks include, but not limited to: Daily deposit runs/cash management, completing daily paperwork via the computer using the Microsoft software and Envoy Connections, conducting professional style emails to vendors and the Corporate Office, approving payroll to ensure that all employees get paid. I also lead my team to exceed expectations daily.
I’m the type of manager that can’t stay in the office all day. I enjoy interacting with customers and keeping the cleanliness of the store each day.
Skills/Abilities
PLANNING AND ORGANIZING
Working as a store manager part of my job includes creating schedules for my employees and scheduling meetings with vendors. I also organize and plan out meetings with my employees to ensure that we are all on the same page with certain topics.
I use a planner to keep track of my day-to-day tasks.
I keep my workspace clean and organized to make each day easier.
COMPUTER
I can troubleshoot for basic computer issues. As a store manager I work with different software’s daily and have learned the basic operating systems of Windows.
I can easily work with Google spreadsheets and Microsoft Office (which includes Outlook, SharePoint, OneDrive, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
I’ve also been skillful at typing for about 17 years.
WRITING AND LITERATURE
I write poetry, short stories, narratives, social media posts, blogging, emails, and journaling.
I spend most of my time reading fiction and non-fiction novels; I also read poetry, articles, blogs, and emails.
I have an eye for detail which helps for when I edit my own writing material.
