Research and QI projects:
1) A single center study on the influence of surfactant on CRP elevation (On going): Mentor: Dr. Zayek
Clinical study to observe the effect of surfactant on CRP elevation. This study aims to see if there is a statistical significance in CRP elevation related to Surfactant thus preventing unnecessary use of antibiotics in neonates between 30-40 weeks 2) QI project on implementation of Read and Treat Approach on Pediatric hypertension to help early intervention (On going)

Basic idea of the study is to develop a protocol on how to manage initial hypertension, make sure everyone is up to date with new guidelines, indications on when to refer to our pediatric healthy life center. The goal is to improve early intervention. 3) QI project on changes to be made in Newborn Nursery to help early discharges (On going) Mentor: Dr. Dolma

Member of residency diversity coalition- University of South Alabama A participant member of the diversity coalition program which works to bring unity among people from different diverse groups and learn ways to harmoniously treat each-other
Special Interests in Pediatrics:
- Interested in complex patients requiring chronic care and special needs.
- Outpatient pediatrics with a mix of inpatient if possible.
- Special interest in newborn babies, rare genetic diseases and interventions in NICU that can be done to prevent developmental delays in preterm babies. Hobbies:
I like to play badminton, participated in various school level competitions I like to travel and also try new recipes in cooking.
