Olympus - SSA, Waltham, MA: a wholly owned subsidiary of Olympus Corporation in Tokyo, Japan—was established in 1968 in Lake Success, New York. Olympus provides an industry-leading portfolio of innovative test, measurement, and imaging instruments.

Sr. Buyer/ Planner Feb. 2016 to Present

Purchasing over 6 million dollars’ worth of crystals, components, epoxies etc. annually to support the transducer line and more.

On ‘Risk Team’, whose function is to mediate the risk of material which is sole sourced.

Cost Reduction, as per company wide goal, reduced cost by an average 1% over the 900 plus part and materials purchased.

Proficient in VISUAL Enterprise software. Note: Company moving to SAP, which I have used in the past.

Dresser Masoneilan - GE, Avon, MA: Global industrial manufacturer of control valves moved to Avon in 2005 estimated $55.5 million in yearly revenue and 285 employees. Masoneilan was purchased by GE Oil and Gas in 2011.

Planner/Buyer Feb. 2013 to Feb 2016

Purchasing of all buyouts (complete valves, levels, regulators ….) purchased from our sister factories in Italy, India, France and Mexico. In 2014. I purchased 352 units @ 775 thousand dollars, and in 2015 I purchased 315 units @ 1.6 Million dollars, which doesn’t include large project orders which I place, but are manage by a project manager

Planner/Buyer Apr. 2011 to Feb. 2013

Added Buyer to my Planner roll for all actuators. Purchasing 2,993 units at a cost of 1.16 million from China and manufacturing in house 420 units of cylinder actuators with a value of 2.5+ million. I reduced lead-time on non-standard actuators by stocking a set of parts used to rework stocked standard actuators.

Planner May. 2009 to Apr. 2011

Planner of the 21K valve product line, with a yearly unit count of around 3600 units using Oracle enterprise software. Increased on-time shipping from 78% to 95% by stocking long lead-time items with high yearly usage.

Participated in R&D focus group providing information on the capabilities of the production facility. Conducted monthly team meetings to evaluate development needs, quality control, and group performance.
