Projects

thesis: The Effects of Vicarious Trauma on Burnout in Mental Healthcare Providers: the mediating role of work-family conflict and the importance of perceived organizational support august 2019 to august 2021

Reviewed extensive peer reviewed academic literature related to vicarious trauma, burnout, work-family conflict, and perceived organizational support to form testable hypotheses.

Constructed survey based off of peer reviewed academic measures, and administered survey to mental health workers from multiple agencies in several counties around Ohio.

Analyzed data from over one hundred participants using hierarchical multiple regression and Hayes Method PROCESS in SPSS.

Discussed results which revealed that work-family conflict does explain the relationship between vicarious trauma and burnout, but perceived organizational support is not enough on its own to moderate the relationship between vicarious trauma and work-family conflict.

Successfully defended in front of academic committee and published in Electronic Dissertation Center (EDT) on OhioLink.

Researched current job descriptions, observed on-site work, and interviewed subject matter experts to ensure the most comprehensive success profile possible through a list of tasks performed on the job, and the KSAOs best suited for the job.

Lead focus groups to analyze generated lists and organize the tasks into categories.

Created and administered surveys to other production supervisors to gather ratings on how much they agree with the proposed lists of tasks based on importance and frequency, and KSAOs regarding importance.
