JOB DESCRIPTION &RESPONSIBILITY:

Checking Vital signs.

Connecting the patient to monitors as per the condition.

Putting I/V cannula.

Transfusion of blood products with close monitoring and supervision.

Starting IV fluids and / or blood transfusion if needed.

Administration of medication as per instructions through various routes like

intravenous, Intra-muscular, Subcutaneous, Intra-dermal & and in various dosages

and dilutions promptly.

Taking ECG.

Checking weight.

Drawing blood/urine/sputum/stool samples for investigation.

Collecting the reports, evaluating it and informing it to the concerned doctor.

Taking ABG and evaluation of report.

Wound dressing, removal of jugular, femoral and subclavian catheter.

Insertion of NGT and Urinary Catheters.

Gastric lavages.

NGT feeding, PEG feeding

Suctioning – oral, endo tracheal tube, tracheostomytube.

Wound dressing.

Suturing & suture removal.

Giving bed bath, back care & hair combing change the patient’s gowns and putting

new gowns.

Positioning the patient & restraining then if necessary.

Taking consent for investigations & various procedures from patient’s attenders &
