• Project: I designed a wick structure that characterized and quantified transient and steady state mass flow rate through various wick constructions for thermal

applications.

• The copper oxide nanostructure that I grew on the plain wick showed better-enhanced wicking, attractive for the choice of wick for the solar desalination plant.

• Investigated the use of different capillary dimensions in flow rate optimization and designed the experiment using advanced engineering technologies and software.

• Different manufacturers were called up in the middle of the pandemic to order needed materials such as wicks and copper pipes.

• Set up the experiment in the laboratory during the height of the pandemic.

• Review and QC test data before I report it to my professors.
