The study aimed at supporting Action Against Hunger Uganda team in identifying and or validating potential agricultural commodities and conduct comprehensive value chain analysis for the selected commodities to guide value chain development interventions proposed for refugees and host populations of Kyangwali refugee settlement, Kikuube district.
Specifically, the tasks included;
To identify commercially viable value chains to be promoted by the project targeting both refugees and host populations of Kikuube district and the Albertine region as a whole;
To conduct detailed value chain analysis of these value chains relating to the existing potential in the Albertine region (Oil and gas);
To propose non-farm IGAs that potentially have a strong link or support to the growth and expansion of selected value chains under implementation.

Goal: The project is aimed at promoting awareness and fighting mental disorders among people before it becomes a huge threat in the country.
The project will be funded by a grant worth sh200m from Belgium and targets 14 referral hospitals in the country, which include Arua, Gulu, Lira, Kampala, Hoima, Mubende, Moroto, Fortportal, Jinja, Masaka referral hospitals.
The participants included; The Principal Medical Officer, Mental Health Division at the Ministry of Health Dr Hasfa Lukwata, Kyambogo University Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Elly Katunguka, Kyambogo University Council, lectures the project Coordinator, Dr James Mugisha, students and the media.
