CARREER ACHIEVEMENTS

While it’s early in my career, I have been able to achieve the following: Web development- September 2020

During my free time, I individually upgraded the company’s website to give it a professional look. This was a marketing stunt to increase the company’s projects and generate more revenue. Here is a preview link: https://victortoo32.wixsite.com/projectweb Regenerative power absorption using load banks- August 2020 We designed a system to absorb regenerative power produced by test cells. The regenerative power was providing instability to the utility. I pitched an idea that we could connect a load bank between the test cell and the utility. With our team we were able to achieve the following:

• Conduct a load flow study and determine the regenerated power source.

• Design the system and represent using one-line diagrams from AutoCAD

• Research about the load bank and how it would be connected.

• Install 32 power relays to determine the direction of power.

• Install SEL relays to communicate with the load bank

• Install CTs and PTs to measure the regenerated power Short circuit study- June 2020

With our team we were able to conduct a short circuit study of a manufacturing company. We were able to do the following:

• Determine the impedance of all cables in the site

• Calculate Arc Flash incident energy calculation of all electrical equipment

• Model the system in E-tap software

• Set the phase settings of circuit breakers to trip faster than the main breaker

• Obtained the momentary and interrupting duty cycles

• Generate time current curves of the breakers, fuses and transformers. Chairman: Kirchhoff Youth Group- April 2020

We came together as alumni of JKUAT Electrical Engineering and formed a Youth Group. I was voted in as the chairman and we focused on raising capital to be able to start an electrical hardware.

Final individual school project: Car Closure Intelligent System- June 2019

• Designed and implemented an automatic car closure system with GPS tracking

• Simulated the system using Proteus Software

• Interfaced the following modules to Arduino: NRF24L01 Transceiver, 12V DC motor, l298 Motor drive, RFID reader, Solenoid lock, GPS and Bluetooth.

• Coded all the instructions to Arduino

• Developed a mobile application to open and close car doors remotely and track it. PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES

• Ability to quickly learn new systems and adapt local practices to global standards

• Ability to think creatively and in an innovative approach to problem-solving

• Ability to build good relationship with associates.

• Excellent interpersonal skills

• Disciplined and self-motivated

HOBBIES AND FAVOURITES

• Swimming

• Playing football

• Playing tennis

• Socializing
