DECLARATION

As you will note on my CV, I have worked on various projects in the Construction Industry. I have been fortunate to have worked in various countries across the world throughout my career, of which most notably would be construction work in South Africa, The DRC and Sierra Leone. I have a strong understanding of plans/drawings as it relates to formwork, fix and fit rebar, casting of concrete at the required specifications, as well as powerfloat and handfloat. I have a thorough understanding of formwork, scaffolding and concrete placing.

In addition to the aforementioned I am also very experienced in building (brickwork), plastering, painting, tiling and waterproofing. The exposure I have had saw me successfully being part of construction projects on houses, offices, schools etc. On average I have been part of housing construction projects of 4000 houses, 20 schools, 20 clinics, 10 police stations and various office building projects in The DRC. In Sierra Leone I have successfully driven building projects ranging from septic tanks, apartments, offices, stage dams to water treatment plants.

I managed shutterboards in wood and steel including foundations, slabs and septic tanks for various housing and office projects. In South Africa my experience and successful participation of construction projects included inter alia raft foundations relating to formwork, shutterboard in wood and steel. Further projects include concrete foundations ranging from formwork/shutterboard in steel, waste water treatment plants and foundations, collumns and slabs in steel and wood relating to shutterboard.

I was appointed as a Construction Manager in The DRC and successfully completed shuttering foundations for a number of projects ranging from housing to school projects etc. mostly in wood and steel. As you would have noted from my experience listed above, I have gained invaluable experience in the field of formwork and regard it as one of my strengths. I adapt easily to harsh work environments and local customs and cultures. I have in the past demonstrated that I am a valuable asset to the construction companies I have worked for and given the opportunity I will once again prove that I can contribute in a major way to the successful execution of any contract.
