JOB DESCRIPTION:

● Cleans all rooms assigned by the Supervisors, ensuring that all standards of layout and cleanliness are

according to the policy laid down by the hotel.

● Cleans rooms as soon as possible according to the hotel’s standards and procedures.

● To ascertain a high degree of guest satisfaction (to receive zero complaints about your room cleanliness.)

● To keep your work areas clean and tidy at all times.

● Ensures that pantries and corridors are kept clean and free of debris at all times.

● Ensure that all equipment are kept clean and in working condition at all times.

● Reports any maintenance problems in rooms, corridors and back areas and any faulty equipment that

arises to the Floor Supervisors.

● Ensures guest supplies are stock neatly and secured in the pantries.

● To carry out any reasonable duties as requested by a senior manager.

● To be flexible, responding quickly and positively to changing requirements including the performance of

any tasks requested of you.

● To maintain an environment that promotes flair, creativity and consistency in the quality of cleanliness,

hygiene and presentation.

● Is aware of VIP and long staying guests.

● To maintain a high customer service focus by approaching your job with the customers always in mind.

● Reports any suspicious persons, packages or activities to Security immediately.

● Ensures all lost property is handed to Housekeeping immediately.

● Complies with Lost & Found policy of the hotel.

● Ensures key control procedures are maintained /comply accordingly.

● Performs deep cleaning and changing of soft furnishings as required.

● Reports any DND’s, no service requested rooms etc. to his/her Supervisor

● Performs turn down service as required.

● Removes any extra items such as extra bed and baby cot etc. upon check out.

● Removes any Room Service items from the room when the cleaning is complete and places them in the

cage in the back area.

● To ensure that all Housekeeping standards, policies and guidelines are followed.

● To report to work within the requested time, prior to the commencement of duty, well groomed and

dressed to the uniform standard
