SUMMARY

I am Colonel (Ret’d) Jawahar Persaud, was seconded to the Ministry of Finance and thereafter to the Guyana Civil Aviation Authority as the Accountant General and as the Director of Finance and Administration respectively. My accounting career started in 1989 as reflected below and I served in several accounting appointments thereafter. I completed my studies in the Association of Certified Chartered Accountant (ACCA) in June of 2010 (currently a Fellow of the ACCA). My military career commenced in 1982 in the Guyana Defense Force where I was commissioned as an officer (Second Lieutenant) on the 24th August 1983, thereafter, my military career peaked with my promotion to the rank of Colonel in January of 2015.
