• The project entitled "Quenching Behavior of Bottom Flooded Molten Pool" based on the problems of severe accidents in nuclear reactor.

• The project is also related to melt coolability phenomena, heat transfer in test section, quenching behavior of simulant materials (materials similar as corium) and debris study after cooling the melt.

• Test Facility: An experimental test facility was developed to perform melt-coolability experiment for understanding the core melt phenomena in the nuclear reactor. EDUCATIONAL INFORMATION

• Electrodeposition of zinc on mild steel substrates using sulphate bath

• To study the effect of non-toxic organic compounds such as food additives on the properties of zinc deposit

• To study the corrosion behavior of zinc coated mild steel Key points:

• Four non-toxic additives namely Sodium gluconate, Dextrose, Saccharin sodium and Dextrine white are used to observe the effect on coating and corrosion rate on a mild steel plate by using electrodeposition technique

• The voltammetry response depends on the complex agent concentration, electrode material, pH and cathodic potential limit

• Scanning Electron Microscope is used to analyze the effect of additives on the morphology of zinc deposit steel sample
