Under the Energy/now brand, DTE Tech. had a portfolio of DG products and services.

Responsible for conducting energy audits, proposals and contract negotiations for CA customers north of Bakersfield.

Also served as a proactive team leader and trainer for 5 subordinate sales engineers.

Notable achievements during tenure were closing a $2.8M cogeneration project in Fresno and completing a 10 year PPA deal with Madera Hospital.

Honeywell Power Systems, Phoenix, AZ 1999 - 2003

Applications Engineer

Responsibilities included sales, marketing, new business development and setting up distribution channels throughout the western states of the US for Honeywell’s Parallon75 micro-turbine.

Worked in California with end-users and distributors on prime power, peak shaving, co-generation and bio-gas applications.

Utilized value-based selling tools, directly responsible for the sale of 25 units and managing 12 subordinate sales personnel.

Honeywell’s management decided to abandon the micro-turbine program in 2002.

Bougainville Copper Ltd., Loloho Power Station, Papua New Guinea 1992 – 1999

Charge Engineer

This 500 MW Power Plant was utilized for provision of 330kV power supplies for the copper mining operation and 66kV for the surrounding townships.

Generating plant comprised steam turbines, combustion turbines and diesel generating sets.

Responsible for the safe, efficient plant operation, maintenance and supervision of trainee operators.

Hydro Electric Commission, Bell Bay Power Station, Tasmania 1982 – 1992

Power Generation Shift Engineer

Duties included safe, efficient control room operation of 350MW oil/gas fired boiler, steam turbine generating units and three 220 MWgas fired combustion turbine units.

During outages of the thermal plant, worked in a supervisory capacity at a 4 X 200MW underground hydro power plant with Kaplan turbines located in the Great Lakes area of Tasmania.
