Main activities and responsibilities
Building and maintaining fluids on the rig site;
Performing recaps, inventorying products and costs, re-ordering and re-stocking needed materials and chemicals;
Providing technical support and good level of communication with customers;
Onsite drilling / completion fluids maintenance;
Running on daily basis, at well location, with the proper laboratory kits, all the tests for the drilling fluid, according to the A.P.I. standards;
Issuing daily reports for the Beneficiary and Drilling Contractor, as required;
Determining, recommending and coordinating the necessary treatments for fluid maintenance within the design parameters;
Acting according with local and internal QHSE rules;
Providing computerized consulting regarding the fluid hydraulics (rheological features, pressure drops etc.), daily variation of fluid parameters, chemical consumption and costs recorded over the entire duration of the operations;
Respond to variation in mud condition in a timely and professional manner in consultation with the company representative;
Monitor mud consumption and respond to down hole mud losses in a timely manner;
Conduct Well Location pilot testing for unusual mud treatments, or as required or directed by Company Well Location supervisory staff, to avoid unsuitable or potentially damaging or incompatible additions to the circulating system;
Proactive engineering of the drilling fluid system;
Be responsible for the safe handling, safe loading and unloading of products and Equipment, safe stacking and handling of chemicals at the Well Location.
