Salcomp developes and manufacturing adapters for mobile phones and other electronic devices.Salcomp the market leader in smartphone and tablet chargers and its main customers include the major smartphone and tablet manufacturers.Salcomp also delivers power adapters for notebooks,gateway,routers,set-top-box,lighting and other electronic applications.

Responsibilities

Production

Distribution of work load to operators in order to achieve daily production target.

ECR is proposed if the material needs any change.

Analysis of daily material consumption and generation of production reports.

Implementation of Pro 3M,5'S in the line.

Maintain OEE>85% for the machines.

Preparing monthly Management by Objectives (MBO) to ensure competitiveness among the operators.

Conducting stock audit weekly and match the physical stock with WIP Stock.

Getting immediate feedback from final line and giving immediate feedback to input line to reduce the defect.

Follow up the defects through GMES (Global Manufacturing Execution System)

Doing line improvements when ever required to improve productivity.

Continuous improvements are done in the line where ever it is required.

Chemical part

Ensure proper Isocyanate and polyol chemical ratio all times to have high energy efficiency.

Daily check leak in pipe line to avoid accidents.

Maintain the spec temperature to have proper filling in the set.

Prepare check sheets to check all the parts of the machine.

Prepare and update trouble shooting methods when ever there is a down time.

Welding part

Developing new operators as it is a critical process.

Flame study is done to ensure there is no crack or hole in the pipe while brazing.

Analyze the cut part of the defect pipe to know how the leak comes from.

Introduced incentive system among brazers to have a competitive environment.

Reduce the consumption of welding rod as that part is costly.

Executive Highlights

Reduced the cabinet and appearance defect from 0.4% to 0.1% and scrap from 1% to 0.1%

Successfully got 5 S Shining award in the month of MAY 2011.

Combined two lines together and it is changed it in the organisation chart too.

Zero fire accidents and machine accidents after my supervision.

Prepared a manual to operate the machine which can be easily understood by a new operator.

Implemented MBO in GMES for Ref plant.

-Increase set/work to 8, reduce tact time, Defect rate < 3%.

Six Sigma

-Increased sigma level from 4.3 to 4.6 on scrap reduction.

Responsible for daily production

Comparing the system stock with physical stock

Prepared Goods Inward and Goods reservation for all the materials

Follow up the materials from local vendors

Conducting training for the operators on technical terms of production

Regular meeting with customers to rectify the defect

If there is any defect in the customer end, attend the problem in the customer end immediately.

Forecasting the needs of the companies and market too.

Identifying new orders for the company.

Implementing 5’S in the shop floor.
