Had responsibility for 5 Directors during my tenure at RUMC and focused on cost savings, process improvements and team focused culture. Mi gated on Ransomware A ack on a Radia on Oncology System and worked with outsource security teams on a number of other areas of vulnerability. Reorganized the Network and Desktop Services and Presented a Number of mes to the Board of Trustees regarding direc on of Hospital IT Department and other Support Services Areas.

Reorganized Informa on Technology Department at RUMC to allow for increased communica on, improved / measurable service delivery metrics for both Academic and Administra ve Func ons. A monthly opera ons report (MOR) that illustrates project, opera onal, staffing and developing problem trends is now used to drive customer service and accountability outcomes.

Re-tooled and recons tuted a number of RUMC leadership jobs (Directors and Managers), allowing for observable increased levels of collabora on between tradi onally stove-piped IS teams. The feedback from internal IS and external IS has been enormously posi ve and all Annual CIO job goals have been achieved (or exceeded).

I have worked with both JCCC and RUMC Human Resources, Staff Development, General Counsel and other en es to develop formal IS Employee performance improvement plans. This is assis ng low / underperforming employees and their managers to mentor regarding career paths, etc. While many organiza ons have these in place, leadership is not always disciplined or trained in the execu on thereof. Through the use of a Board approved Technology Governance Body, I have obtained campus wide consensus towards a prac cal, nimble, pedagogically sound, and financially astute Informa on Technology Strategic plan through 2022.

Tripled project throughput and gained $8 million in produc vity capacity via process simplifica on, opera onal ac vity elimina on (15%), 4-state field ac vity rezonings and leadership effec veness coaching and development. Gains were obtained by transforming and reorganizing HCA Capital Division's IT&S (Informa on & Technology Services) 250-person, geographically dispersed department.
