Duties

Responsible and accountable for Catering operations, Camps and facilities Management in the planning, organizing, mobilization, implementing the Company procedures, managing and overseeing the activities of the whole Camps & Catering sector with respect to the following:

Ensure competent resources are available to support all aspects of camp operations (i.e., catering, housekeeping, pest control, laundry services, etc.) by administering / managing existing contracts and by preparing scopes of services for new contracts.

Supervise the contract and ensure that it is respected between the clients and the catering.

Managing all personnel under control and ensure they have attended orientation, been trained, appraised and competent to perform any assigned task. Maintain up to date records of orientation, training and progress.

Ensuring all equipment is operating satisfactory and when necessary, reports defect.

Developing and maintaining regular and effective communication with the client through regular interaction with company and customers to ensure he is fully aware of client / customer opinions in service.

Controlling all stocks of food and non-food items within agreed quality standards, inventory levels.

Managing all aspects of the catering and housekeeping services on a site installation;

Accommodation & Laundry:

Inspection of accommodation and ensure maintenance works. Check electrical fittings and appliances are in order. To provide linen for the rooms, make sure rooms are made clean and laundry facility is given on daily basis. To maintain the equipments in the laundry department..

HSE:

All works are performed in adherence to HSE norms. Care is taken to perform duties in a safe, professional and efficient manner. Ensure compliance with HSE requirements related to all job activities. Familiarize and maintain proper knowledge of company’s HSE rules and regulations and abide by them at all time. Organize through supervisors Tool Box meetings. Maintain HSE monthly reports.

To follow upon the hygiene inspection of all catering premises and accommodations. Ensure proper application of pest and rodent control programmed by contractors in co – ordination with camp authorities, the use of proper insecticides.

In all of the above duties, to ensure their own health and safety and that of others is given priority.

Represent company positions at meetings with contractors, organize and supervise catering services for special occasions

Support the short- and long-term accommodation requirements by initiating and formulating short and long range accommodation plans addressing the elements of personnel, budgets, materials and other resources/relationships.

Checking and preparing the daily Bed sheet and POB (Personnel on Base), once finished send it to the finance department for the invoices.

Ensure timely and effective decision-making concerning the Camp by overseeing the maintenance and refinement of various automated systems (Camp Management System and Meal Control System) and update standards and reporting formats as necessary to assure quality results and correct financial report.

Monitor and control expenditures related to Camp contractor activities by initiating monthly Contract Work requests (CWRs), by reviewing and verifying daily attendance sheets of contractor personnel, and by verifying the accuracy of invoices raised by contractors prior to payments approval. Similarly, initiate, monitor and control Material Requests for housekeeping and cleaning items.

Solve problems at the Camp administration level through proper planning and periodic coordination meetings with contractors` project Managers.

Ensure that Maintenance preventive plans / requests are carried out timely and cost effectively. Conduct periodic inspections of all facilities and process work requests. Liaise with the Infrastructure Division on outstanding as well as planned Maintenance work and relevant issues.

Oversee the Security function in conjunction with the HS&E Department. Take necessary action regarding identified cases of misconduct in the camp.

Manage and supervise the successful operation of the company, overall responsible for the day-to-day operation of the catering and to identifying suitable candidates for projects. Monitor and Evaluate performance of the staff and advise the senior management on appropriate actions to be taken in regards to staff requirements etc…

Working closely with the Health & Hygiene supervisor, oversee that a high and sufficient hygiene level is maintained in accordance with regulations.

Effectively manage and coordinate with the catering operations team for the

preparation of menus and maintained a system of stock taking.

Provide regular updates on performance of contract as well as generate forecasts on equipments, budget and other operational necessities on a regular basis.

Report back to the finance unit on a regular basis on all accounts carried in the catering operation.

Inspection of Food Preparation Areas and dining facility, quality of food & portion. Ensure adequate standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and taste in compliance with client’s contract & local health departments, acting as a liaison to answer feed back from clients to ensure satisfaction of taste, choice and changes in the menus.

Ensure the proper functioning of the cold stores. Check the stress and refrigeration systems and the calibration meter, submit and follow up on requests for maintenance and repairs. Maintain the adequate temperature require to ensure frozen items are hygienically in good quality, texture and safe for consumption.

Ensure that all activities supervised are performed with proper degree of safety and environmental protection.

Manage an organization will cover all construction (all) activities on site.

Follow Up and verify all documentations proposed by the Contractor.

Provide necessary input and participate in clarifications, negotiations etc. with site and Contractors to assure project development.

Ensure the Communications Room is manned during shift hours.

Maintain a listing watch on Radio and Telephone communications.

Ensure immediate response to radio and telephone calls, and facsimile messages.

Update the Data in which I fill in the number of passengers, sector, flying hours and fuel consumption then email the report to OSC or COSC.

Make sure the IN MARSAT MINI-M, IN MARSAT M4 and IN MARSAT B are working.

Check the names with OSC or COSC for the Assembly Point Marshall and Fire Warden whom they will be on duty for a week.

Change the Back Up Tape on the Server Room.

Report all the Communications Failures and problems to OSC / COSC and IT Leader.

Keep the list of Operations Support Staff update and make any changes if necessary. Inform the OSC or COSC about the dates IN/OUT of the Radio Operators in the different Drilling locations two days before their crew change.

Fill in the Vehicle Journey Management sheet i.e. all the vehicle movement going to/coming from different locations.

Fill in the Flight Allocations Passengers Data each time there is a flight and check the cost code with the finance department if needed.

Ensure the mail bags are dispatched on the first flight available.

Make sure to fill in the Medical Repatriation Sequence of Events each there is an emergency (i.e. Medical Evacuation Flight…).

Coordinate with Airport Liaison and inform him about ETD/ETA and number of passengers that they can arrange transport for them.

Record and receive all flight tracking transmissions from the pilots.

Issue and record all Hand Held VHF Radios in conjunction with OSC / COSC.

Daily check of the Defibrillator.
