UG Project: Optimization for induction generator for wind energy conversion

Description:

This proposed small wind systems obtained the input power by converting the force of a wind into torque acting under a rotor blades. The amount of energy which the wind transfers to the rotor depends on the density of the air, the rotor area, and the wind speed. The kinetic energy of a moving body is proportional to its mass and more energy is received by the turbine. The two biggest reasons for using wind to generate electricity are the most obvious ones. Wind power is clean and it is renewable. There is also independence associated with wind energy as any country can generate at home with no foreign support and wind turbine can bring electricity to remote areas not served by the central power grid.
