Work Profile: PPC/Stores & Inbound logistics

PPC FUNCTION:

Reporting to AL Divisional manager – PPC/Stores and inbound logistics.

Overall responsibility for 2 shifts production planning and control in Frame assembly.

Achieving daily customer requirements

Planning & scheduling the aggregates required for Chassis Production according to the master production schedule from marketing team.

Programming and sequencing for line production for both day& night shift.

Planning for after sales spare parts production and inter unit material transfers, VOR.

Co-ordination with other teams for trail runs of new models and start of mass production.

Organizing daily meetings with buyer, production and quality teams to ensure zero line stoppages with material regards.

Co-ordination of Chassis production plan, material and quality issues with suppliers, buyers, quality and other Leyland units.

Follow up with supplier for Delivery/ Rejection / Shortage.

Maintaining minimum WIP.

Implementing Engineering Design Modification (EDMs) pertaining to BS6 parts

Follow ups and implementation of BOM correction and regular updating to quality, manufacturing and R&D team regarding implementations.

Implementing work systems with coordination with unit planning team regarding with the work improvements and layout required in shop floor.

Implementation of continual improvement activities through KAIZEN, POKA YOKE & 5S.

Preparation for Internal audit for inventory (IOR).

Reviews and updates documentation related to TS16949.

Stores activities:

Handling a team of 50 employees and supervised their work, Responsible for the daily Operation of the stores, responsible for reporting to the divisional manager, set goals and targets for the employees and motivated them in achieving these targets and goals, responsible for handling all the queries and problems of the employees.

Organized a neat and clean stores and ensured achievement of all goals.

Having a clear understanding of the company's policies and vision and how the stores contributes to these.

Supervised facility even on weekends and ensured smooth working.

Line side issues monitoring regarding with IR, quality and production.

Monitoring the incoming material receipts, storage, schedule adherence and dispatch with respective to the production plan.

Ensure proper housekeeping and improving stores layout and material handling equipment’s.

Creating Inventory control report and MIS daily status report.

Initiative leader for inventory and 5S activities

Documentation for ISO/TS/EMS, MIS on PPC, stores, logistics, production trends, rejections, plan adherence and future requirements.
