OBJECTIVE

To use my 20 years of experience as a civil designer for the development of plans, specifications and estimates for transportation, site development, drainage and subdivision projects.

SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS:

I have 20 years of experience as a civil designer in the preparation of plans, specifications, and estimates for civil development projects. I also have experience in utility coordination and the preparation of utility relocation plans where required. My design experience includes numerous projects whether city, county or state.

I have extensive TxDOT training in all aspects of roadway design including Microstation, Geopak, Urban Storm Sewer, Hec-Ras, and PS&E Package. In addition, I have considerable knowledge of Winstorm, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, AutoCad, and Microsoft Access.

WORK EXPERIENCE:

July 2008 - April 2012 Civil Designer RCM Technologies Houston, Texas

LJA Engineering:

(1) Designed streets, water, sanitary sewer, and storm sewer for subdivisions and boulevards within the City of Missouri City. (2) Redesigned and updated quantities on Sienna Ranch Road due to a conflict with the existing right-of-way. (3) Computed and checked quantities on existing plans.

Othon Engineering:

(1) Designed centerline for Richey Road. (2) Wrote letters and followed up with phone conversations to Harris County Engineering officials. (3) Attended meetings with Othon and Harris County and prepared minutes of the meetings for all attendees to review.

2002 – 2008 Engineering Tech IV & V Texas Dept. of Transportation Tyler, Texas

I.H. 20 Bridge Replacements at Harris Creek:

1.Prepared the Bridge Layouts for the replacement of existing bridges on I.H. 20

2.Prepared the traffic control and phasing plans for this project

Right Turn Lane and Acceleration Lane - Loop 323 at U.S. Hwy 271:

1. Lead designer for this project

2. Prepared plans, determined drainage areas and sized inlets and storm sewer

3. Prepared PS&E package

S.H. 110 between Prairie Creek and F.M. 849:

1.Lead designer for this project

2.Prepared digital terrain model

3.Calculated superelevation, input into Geopak and created Cross-sections

4.Calculated drainage areas and prepared the hydraulic data sheets

5.Cross checked the estimate to the summary sheets and prepared PS&E

F.M. 2661 between S.H. 155 and Big Eddy Road:

1.Coordinated with high pressure pipeline companies where potential conflicts with the proposed storm sewer were detected
