Successfully handled projects in the areas of manufacturing process/producibility review preparation and manufacturing coast estimating (DFMA) of various Aircraft engine components.

Worked on UID part marking compliance for various engine components,

Analyzed export data of Pratt &Whitney military and commercial aircraft engine components and prepared weekly status reports for P&W export mangers’ reviews.

Generated new procedures, reviewed and updated older procedures, and published several Pratt Whitney Manufacturing and Quality Assurance procedures.

Managed projects in Manufacturing/Processing small and large components in aircraft engines by working with designers and product suppliers to develop and establish processes and procedures for cost effective production of jet engine components.

Processes involved were: Casting, Machining, Sheet metal fabrication, Plasma spray, Coating, Welding/ EB weld, Laser and Brazing.

Materials included: solid, cast and forged, and sheet metal components made of super alloys.

Conducted Producibility reviews and followed up manufacturing processes of casting and sheet metal components from development through production, for new and existing parts.

Worked with product design group and interactively followed up manufacturing process from development through production and resolved issues of processes such as sheet metal fabrication, conventional and Electron Beam welding at supplier facilities.

as compressor cases, diffusers and transition ducts involving regular customer

interaction to assure quality and performance of product at minimum cost. (Main processes: machining, conventional welding, EB welding, brazing)

- Resolved shape issues due to thermal processes of compressor cases, as well as diffusers of Rolls Royce jet engines, resulting in reduction of rework.

- Planned and implemented process changes to Rolls Royce transition ducts which reduced production costs.

SOLAR TURBINES, INC. - San Diego, CA1989 – 1999

Sr. Manufacturing Engineer/Supplier Quality assurance in Turbo Machinery

- Managed Special product cost saving program per customer directive and saved $250K in annual cost.

- Worked with product design engineers as a liaison to achieve design for manufacturing. As a result, more than ten products were designed with manufacturing flexibility, and eliminated potential design change requirements by 90%.

- Took lead in procuring capital equipment for Laser welding,plama spray proceses and

conventional machines. Established process from development to production level.

- Led Plasma spray Process Improvement Team, which saved $500K annually in cost

of production and environmental expenses. This team was one of the top 10 winners

out of 35 projects for The President's Quality Awards.

- Directed and facilitated activities of Coating Team to select and certify efficient coating

suppliers. Worked with suppliers for developing and producinng coating proceses for

super alloys
