At Shalimar Paints Limited (Chennai Plant)

** Managing finance department, including coordination for monthly closing of the Plant financial and operating systems, and preparation of all monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.

Reviewing the Plant accounting procedures for improvements to result in information timeliness, reduced effort, and greater accuracy.

Responsible for managing all third-party audits, licensing audits, due diligence audits and bank audits.

Responsible for Fixed asset accounting, Capitalization of Asset, Tagging of Plant & Machinery. Reviewing of Capital work in progress and analysis of variance against the capital budget.

Monthly YIELD - Review with plant Operation Manager on the Yield percentage on batch to batch against the Standard. Analysis of Major Cost incurred monthly, Raw Material / Packing Material Consumption Analysis Actual Vs. Standard. Month closing activity - Review of OPEX and Provisioning, Comparison with budget and variance analysis.

Cost Control - Preparation of Budget in Co-ordination with department head. Cost control against budget

Overviewing the inventory and physical stock variance and analysis with Supply Chain to take necessary step for rectification and avoid for future occurrence. Monitoring GST Compliances – Monthly Return i.e. GSTR 1, GSTR 3B, GTR 6 & Annual return GSTR 9 & GSTR 9C. Monthly upload of GSTR 2A data and reconciliation with GSTR 3B.

Responsible for preparation of monthly fund requirement of the plant and arranging fund from Corporate Treasury.

Monitoring the vendor bill booking, ensuring to disburse the payment on time to avoid un- interrupted service and ensuring the periodical reconciliation of vendor account. At Akzo Nobel India Limited

SAP Related

** Reviewing/Monitoring / Uploading product selling prices and changes Monitoring and maintaining conditions for accruals accounts as per business needs monthly

Periodic changes of conditions based on estimated expenses Setting pre-determined conditions for accrual accounts (direct expenses) monthly Maintaining customer discount rate structure

Monitoring Branch operations - Sales Accounting, Credit control, Stock Audits, Warehouse management

OPEX Control – Variance analysis and suggestive measures for OPEX control. Mapping business requirements and coordinating with the implementation team for SAP implementation as a process owner.

Payroll Accounting

** Making Monthly Payroll Entry and working retrials for all employee related monthly provision.

TDS Salary, Reconciliation Quarterly with co-ordination with HR and filing, Coordinating and issuing of Form 16 & 12BA annually to employees Coordinating with third party for correct PF deduction & deposit and filing the return. Validating the data for Incentive/Bonus calculation half yearly and annually. Coordinating for Statutory Audit/Quarterly Audit related to payroll activity and sharing the schedule (Bonus, Gratuity, Pension & Leave)

Preparing and coordinating with third party Actuary for Actuarial valuation as per IND AS19

CIP/Prebate/Rebate

** CIP/Investment – End to end activities relating to CIP investments to customers including validation, Coordination, disbursement, monitoring, audits, recovery and MIS. Validating proposal, Calculating IRR/ROS, Management summary for approval Validation of commercial terms and agreement with business partners and other third party Preparing the agreement as per the term and condition of proposal and issuing for signing from Customer

Coordinating with sales for signed agreement along with documents, verifying and arranging for disbursement. Maintaining the Signed agreement and related documents Preparation of quarterly MIS reports on CIP performance of customers to provide feedback to management on financial performance, as per Management's Needs/Requirements. Consolidating the CIP tracker for Asia Pacific (India, Australia & Singapore) and making presentation for SBU review.

Calculating the investment refund for Default & Non performing customer from time to time and sharing with Business Manager/RM to discuss with customer. Co-ordination with Legal consultant for filing case against the default customer. Coordinating for Statutory Audit/Quarterly Audit related to CIP activity preparing the schedule and sharing

** Rebate/Discount- Validating the discount proposal calculating the EBIT and sharing with Business Head/Controller for approval

Reviewing monthly discount accrual to avoid short and excess accrual, Monitoring credit note processing monthly
