I studied International Tourism Management at Middlesex University. Undertaking my programme of study has opened many opportunities to engage in interdisciplinary experiences in tourism policy and planning, management; particularly in events as well as marketing which I have all thoroughly enjoyed. Prior to joining university, I undertook work experience within the marketing department at Hilton Paddington. I oversaw the social media marketing strategies, conducted market research and worked to understand audience targeting to optimize campaigns. I am looking for a graduate opportunity within marketing or event management where I can further develop key skillsets and become an invaluable asset to the organization. SKILLS AND QUALITIES

● Organisation skills: even management project was a day event and deadline were after three months, so I made a schedule timetable and a check list to keep track on the project. I oversaw the all project and materials needed to make the event a success.

● Communications skills- presentation of ideas to various levels of audience using a comprehensive range of communication and getting the audience to participate. Communication skills is important in any workplace such as my part time job.

● Teamwork: academy project during event management module, therefore a team of four was require to finish, so my team we separated the work through different sections, and we set up a group chat in whapps to help each other. Able to relate to individuals and form relationships quickly whilst also able to work on own initiative, at my part- time job.

● I.T - Competent user of Windows systems: Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, various other bespoke software. Upon doing the project for event management module these IT software’s were utilised to achieved variable tasks such as tracing a plan, excel was used for calculate any finance, PowerPoint used promotions.

Caravan restaurant waiter -Exmouth market (Nov 2017- Jan 2020)

● A warm welcoming to customers: as a waiter it is important make guests feel welcome to the restaurant and provide great service.

● Taking food and beverage orders: listening and communications skill play important role, during evening dinner which tend to be the busy time where many guests come to eat, attention to details were crucial points because it helps me identify different clients and which table they were on, it also helps to ease the pressure during busy hours.

● Helping with drinks and alcohol: During this time, I take note of every drinks it helps me to learning and develop as a waiter also makes easier to handle every client.

● Help clean the kitchen before closing time: I clean the dinner floor and tables before closing hours and report about the different roles I played during the day.

● Serve customers at the till: I serve customers during busy hours and interact with them to let them know about new products and different brands they will be interested at.

● Dealing with requests: I dealt with different customers every day of the hour, where some requested a specific brand, they are looking and by being knowledgeable about different brands can be useful. Also, dealt with customers complaints few times through phone calls and face to face.

● Inform new and repeat customers about new products available: welcoming customers at the front door of the store and showing them different brands sections. Informing customers about new products after the manager confirm it is available just like during the team meeting in the morning.

● Assisting customers: I assisted customers who are looking for a different products or looking for similar products.

● Help clean the store before closing time: during busy hours, the store tends to be a mess everywhere, so we clean the store before leaving with a team of 3 people in different floors. This process helps members to know each other better through communication and it makes easier to work together. Academic project/ hold a day event.

A day event music

This project was a duration of three months preparation to hold a day music event and the venue was at O2 academy Brixton. This project helped me to showcase my creative side again, the preparation was difficult since it is a day event it helped me explore and gained knowledge. Where I had to manage the budget and how to advertise my event so I went through social media platforms and created a poster to let music lovers know where and when the event will happen. Now I have a better understanding and gained knowledge on how to hold an event and advertise too, because of this project. I believe I have the confidence to hold or help organize an event.
