Dear Hiring Manager,

I would like to introduce myself as an applicant for the Human Resource field. As an HR employee, I possess the right communication skills, a high level of organizational skills, staffing experience, as well as, improving company perspective by:

• Increasing employee retention while maintaining a positive workplace

• Developing and creating a recruitment process to implement for the company

• Developing sets of interview questionnaires to implement for the hiring process

• The knowledge to discuss and arbitrate labor disputes in regards to employment labor laws

• Some knowledge with payroll process and HRIS programming

• And goal oriented in increasing human capital for the business

At my previous role at Piggly Wiggly, I managed the hourly cash flow into the office as a bookkeeper. With my current role at Roper Care Alliance, I am responsible for providing patients’, customers’, and employees’ with excellent customer service. I am proficient with flexible spending accounts, as well as responsible for analyzing data, clarifying issues between managers and employees, advising in employee resolution situations, complying with EEO policies, proper documentation, filing court appointed paperwork, and keeping HIPAA, and confidential records secure. I am proficient with MS Word, Office, Excel, Outlook, Adobe, Microsoft Suite, PowerPoint, and Kronos software systems. I am familiar with some HRIS systems as well as ATS software. I pride myself in providing excellent customer service to managers and employees. I became efficient at prioritizing tasks and knowing when to de-escalate issues.

I shadowed my coworker, who is a secretary, performing payroll duties, during the work day. I have completed business and accounting classes as well as all of my MA degree courses in Human Resource Management. With Management and Leadership pending, I learned about studies such as labor relations, management, organizational culture, employment laws, global human resources management, training and development, compensation, finance for managers, integrated studies in HR management, issues in resource management, staffing, and integrated studies in management. I am confident that my educational pathway will help with the knowledge necessary to succeed as a Human Resource Manager. I have a desire and the will to help the company’s growth. I see that as a primary goal of the human resource manager. It would bring me joy to help businesses resolve issues quickly so that they can move forward with the company’s drive for increased human capital for potential employees, while keeping retention rates low, having employees’ perform better for the company, and be able to provide for the future success of the company.

As I reach the end of my MA degree journey, I realize that experience is important for an organization. During my career I have excelled in every job title that I have been assigned. Although I lack HR experience, I make up with work ethic, determination, drive and motivation to be the best employee in any position. I have proven exceptional work with my current role, as well as past roles. The biggest thing that every graduate looks for, is the opportunity to show off their skills learned. Giving an individual, such as myself, that opportunity would be the biggest asset to your company. It would ease the mind for top executives, by handling employee labor relations within the organization.
