Developed stub axle & balancer shaft with M/s Alucast in (SG500/7) grade in place of forging. This resulted in cost saving of INR 70/- for the 2 parts combined together.

Proposed and implemented the idea of change in material for A-Mounting bracket & wiper motor support bracket from Aluminum casting to grey iron SG500/7. This helped in reducing the part cost by INR 40/- each.

Worked with Tata Motors Engineering Research center for improvement of yield of Tata Nano Cylinder block from 65% to 70% after benchmarking with ALTO from Maruti Suzuki

Weight Optimization of Wheel Hub (5000 Series Tractor): - Achieved weight reduction of 41 Kg by modifying the design and casting material from GJL-250 to GJS 500-7

Design of Compacted Graphite Iron (CGI) parts: - Worked for developing the initial design of Cylinder block for Krish tractor’s engine in CGI.

Concept Design of support Frame for ASPEN sprayer system: - Converted sheet metal frame to casting with a nominal weight increase of 10%.

Design Modification of Transmission Case of Zenith Tractor (8000 Series Tractor): -Modified design & completed casting simulation (MagmaSoft). Achieved final weight reduction of around 10%.

Worked on yield improvement & Gating System Modification of more than 50 different castings at Hinduja Foundries DCU, Hyderabad.

Developed casting of General Motors Cylinder Block. Designed gating system and reduced rejection percentage using casting simulation with MagmaSoft.

Reduction in the overall rejection percentage for Renault’s K9K cylinder Block using casting simulations & actual casting analysis.

Yield improvement and reduction in rejection % of HYUNDAI’S cylinder block. Yield improved from 63% to 74% by changing the core packaging system & Gating system while rejection improved by changing the moulding and pouring parameters.
