Main Project features:

Upgrade of western interceptor downstream

Upgrade of noxious pump station

Rehabilitation and expansion of sewer networks in Matero and Kaunda Square. Activities performed:

Management of the health, safety and environmental aspect of the project.

Carrying out the risk assessment in order to eliminate the risks in the task if any.

Facilitating compliance with Occupation Health and Safety (OHS) guidelines as outlined in the relevant

Ensuring that work violence’s are investigated and appropriate measures are put in place to prevent reoccurrences.

Conducting training to employee to communicate the company policy/Objectives.

Maintaining a daily site diary in order to comprehensively record all the relevant matters concerning site environmental and social management, inspections, audits and incidents among other things.

Client: Millennium Challenge Account Zambia (MCA-Zambia) Main Project features:

Increasing the capacity of the existing primary outfall and main drainage channel. Concrete lining of the drainage channel.

Extension of the drainage into peri-urban areas in the southern areas of Lusaka city, which are within the system catchment.

Installation of foot and access bridges facing or parapets. Activities performed:

Ensuring that Environmental aspects (waste management, soil erosion management, air and noise pollution control, water management and hazardous chemical and waste management) of the project are managed in line with the employer’s requirements.

Liaising with the local community on any issues in relation to Health, safety, social and Environment of the project.

Reviewing of the Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) and the Environmental and Social Management Plan (ESMP) of the project.

Interpret the existing and new legislation and regulations around the environment to determine risks, requirements and action to the project.

Conducting toolbox talks to employees to support sites in the communication, implementation, best practices, minimum standards, policies, processes tools.
