Patrol airfield for the presence of wildlife; utilizes frightening/harassment techniques to disperse wildlife hazards; removes and identifies dead wildlife from active movement areas.

Removes debris and other obstructions in air operations area; erects barricades, flags, blinking lights and/or cones around ditches or other hazards; directs pedestrians, vehicles and/or aircraft around emergency or danger areas; contacts higher-level operations personnel and air traffic control tower to report any unsafe conditions when found; provides escorts for aircraft under tow or during inclement weather; prepares aircraft movement reports; collects landing and service fees from non-scheduled aircraft and completes collection reports as required; explains airport rules and regulations to pilots, tenants, and employees; issues airport violations.

Patrols perimeter of airport checking all gates and entry points for security considerations; patrols airfield and other restricted areas and challenges any individuals not displaying proper identification; provides escorts for aircraft and vehicles as necessary; performs ID/badge security checks at restricted area access points required; responds to security/fire exit door alarms; reports any violation of FAA and airport rules and regulations; participates in airfield construction; responds to emergency situations such as bomb scares, hijacking, fires, accidents, etc. as directed by the operations supervisor.

This includes supervising four-person team monitoring inspections, launch and recovery, mission status and capabilities. Further responsibilities include dispatching Emergency Response teams; analysis and coordination of maintain data, complex integrated schedules, networks, resource planning and submitting reports on department and aircraft daily activities.
