Part of the organizing committee for multiple campaigns in rural areas. My responsibilities included presenting seminars to first year students, organizing workshops and hosting public event to increase awareness towards common diseases. Some of the most recent activities:

Thyroid Awareness Campaign

Presented and hosted seminars about the thyroid gland, anatomy, functionality and disorders.

Participated in a radio show hosted by Dr. Waleed Refat, a renowned TV and radio personality, to educate the public and raise awareness towards healthy eating habits and metabolic disorders.

Organized a Human Anatomy Workshop for first year medical students:

Organized and hosted dissecting workshops to introduce first year medical students into the basics of anatomy in order to peak their interest and passion in medicine.

Organized a Cerebrovascular Accidents (Stroke) Awareness Campaign

Designed and distributed brochures and flyers .

Worked in the medical tent to measure blood pressure, pulse, and blood sugar for almost 100 patients

Organized multiple fund-raising projects, multiple movie nights and ceremonies for the first year medical students.

National Thyroid Screening Project Jan 2015 -Dec 2015

This is a cross sectional study, conducted using interviewer administered questionnaire. Some of my responsibilities included:

Conducted surveys and collected medical history of residents in rural cities (Marka-Amman). Disseminated flyers, and about the importance of early screening for thyroid hormones.

Currently Doing a case report with Doctor Terry F.Davies from Mount Sinai about the relationship between breast implants and Thyroid Fibrosis.
