Assessing and learning the progress of different mental health diseases and disorders in patients seeking inpatient treatment program in the hospital.
Learning how to diagnose the mental health problems among the inpatients.
Judgment of the right type of treatment for each patient and assessment of the progress of each patient’s treatment inside the hospital. 2015: Intenship at Skoun, Lebanese Addictions Center:
Accomplishment of clinical internship: assessing, learning to diagnose drug use and other mental health problems and following-up the status of treatment in drug users seeking outpatient treatment and rehabilitation.
Working with patients to help them in the re-integration in the social life and the working field; Helping them to ameliorate their socio-economical life status (Full Rehabilitation Program); Helping outpatients to solve their social problems caused by their drug use.
Accomplishment of a training specific to perform the Columbia Suicide Severity Rating Scale by attending online sessions organized by the founder of the scale, The Center for Suicide Risk Assessment in University of Columbia. At the end of training, a certificate to perform the scale was given.
Accomplishment of Master thesis entitled: Suicidal thoughts and Behavior among heroin users.
Achievement of all the study related to the thesis: Literature review, Data collection and analysis using SPSS software and discussion of full results.
Completing of 2 articles and studies about Drug use in Lebanon as results of this internship.
Working on adequate methodology’s plans to follow for the same drug use population. 2016: Participation in a study about the influence of Religion and Spirituality on drug use and drug use treatment among outpatients in SKOUN (Data collection and analysis, Results’ discussion).
2016-2017: Volunteering in a local Rehabilitation program in order to help the coming refugees:
Being a part of the team that helps individuals to get rehab and improve the cognitive functions in brain injured refugees and individuals with PTSD.
Helping these individuals to get a training to cope with their deficiencies and enhance their mental functions.
Insuring the children’s needs in education, medical services and other basic services.
Trying to localize all the refugees in the region with the purpose of gathering data about their medical and socio-economic conditions. The next step is to improve these conditions for each family.
2018-2020: working with Professor Shafica Assaad (a Lebanese University professor, tutor and scientific) to put studies’ methodology plans adequate for the Lebanese children population in order to assess relationship and association between educational, socio-economical factors and cognitive functioning and development.
October 2019-November 2019: working in the CIC college (al Khiyam) as a science teacher for the grades (1,2,3,4,5,6). I had the duty to identify students with learning disability or any other cognitive/behavioral disorders (mental counseling). October 2020 Online tutoring and counseling university students from Canada in their subjects and projects related to biochemistry, genetics, molecular Biology and neurosciences field.
