I am applying for a responsible position as a Director/Designer or

Marketing/Creative Director opportunities.

I have been working in the graphics field for over a decade. I graduated from California State University, San Bernardino with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Graphic Design. I ’ve worked in a wide range of positions, from printing, marketing and in-house firms. My extensive background is in managing a firm, designing and art direction, which includes logos, brochures, illustrations, ads, posters publications and web sites. I am an expert using Macintosh computers (Quarkxpress, InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Flash, Dreamweaver, CS6, Microsoft Office and So- cial Media), as described in my resume. I have been in supervi- sory positions as an Senior Designer, Account Manager, Market- ing Consultant, Publisher, Art Director, Creative Director, Social Media Director and Marketing Director.

As a principle/creative director for a marketing and design firm, I have managed 2 firms for over 20 years. Directing the offices in effective sales, marketing, advertising and design. We had over 32 major clients in the retail, manufacturing and commercial markets. The purpose of the design department was to meet the objectives that were set out from the clients (Marketing Director or CEO’s) and the firm on all projects. “OUR MISSION was to cre- ate with the spirit of design innovative communication strategies, concepts and materials that will position our client in the fore- front of their industry.”

Our goal was to provide our clients with new ideas, effective- ness and the future. We were proactive in learning about indus- try trends, moving our client to the forefront of their industry and understanding how their business would react to new marketing materials, design implementation and advertising.

I have been proactive in encouraging my clients to develop social media/web sites that will help tell the story of their company and position their company in the e-commerce, business to business market. Meeting with clients on a regular basis, we would discuss their needs, objectives, branding and the target audience that the site would be marketed to. Once a direction was determined, I would present concepts to the client followed by layout and de- sign. My experience in designing web sites includes developing site maps, banners, animation, interaction development, flash implementation, design and layout. I have worked closely with web developers, graphic designers and programmers providing creative direction. I work very closely with the programmers dur- ing the development stages, back-end coding and programming. Monitoring the actual development for quality control, making sure the design elements are implemented and the client’s story and image is cohesive and memorable.
