Automation Lead/advisor on STATOIL’s Kollsnes E & I project - Onshore gas plant in Bergen, Norway

The scope for the FEED included ABB/Symphony system upgrades, HIPPS replacement, CCC upgrades, interfaces with Electrical motor controls and switchgear systems KOCH ENID Expansion project. As a PM, was managing KOCH Nitrogen Company FEED phase for Urea and Off-site (OSBL) project and developed TIC estimates, schedule, scope definition, RIE specification and system, architecture diagrams and FEED deliverables for both ISBL & OSBL and coordinated with various EPC companies and client and successfully negotiated /obtained detail engineering scope for the MAC scope for new Urea plant and OSBL facilities.

Samsung/INPEX, ICHJTHYS Gas Field Development Project, Perth, Australia

Large Offshore Project for detail engineering of ICSS sub- contractor to Samsung.

As a Automation Manager/Lead ICSS engineer, directed system design team of 15 engineers/ designers to develop excellent overall ICSS design,

CHEVERON NIGERIA River basin platform with water injection system and 60000 b/d capacity of oil processing

Advised and helped in selecting the latest Foundation Fieldbus technology for the project (we decided to use high power trunk with FISCO spurs) All the instrumentation utilized for DCS & ESD was intrinsically safe.

COMPERJ PETROBRAS Refinery plus Petrochemical Project, Brazil; 8 billion dollar T.I.C

The scope included Basic design and FEED for utilities, sulfur recovery units, off-sites. Also as part of PMC effort developed Main Automation Contract for DCS, Safety system with 50000 DCS IO and 25000 Safety instrumented system IO and sub systems, protection and automation of electrical system.

Two Combined Cycle Power plant projects

Scope included coordination with GE, ABB/Bailey, DCS system specifications, control narratives, steam turbine bypass valve specifications, and instrumentation data sheets.

Developed and implemented Control logic diagrams (CLD’S) for all control loops, completed control logic diagrams for pumps, and other devices using ABB/Bailey symphony system and OP.IT, FAT, SAT and site support.

COPESUL Ethylene Plant, Brazil (1995-1997)

Responsible for the design and engineering of major packages including Compressors, Dephlegmator & PSA unit. MAC specification development and selection was completed successfully and Field bus utilization study was performed with DELTA V system

Supervised Control and Electrical engineers and coordinated the proposal cost with schedulers and management staff.

TOC Grass-root Ethylene Project

Responsible for preparation of process design package, instrument summaries, all general instrumentation specifications, analyzers and gas chromatograph specification datasheets, DCS and safety system specifications, inquiries, evaluations and selection.

Supervised Furnace Semi-Automatic DECOKE program development and implementation using ‘CL’ programming.

Olefins De-bottlenecking Project

Responsibilities included supervision of team of engineers/ designers for developing PFD’ s and P&ID ’s, control strategies, conceptual control diagrams, compressor instrumentation and anti-surge controls, gas chromatograph package, instrument datasheets, design drawings.

Responsible for Honeywell TDC 2000 DCS engineering configuration, instrument loop schematics and Inspection and testing at Honeywell, USA

Spent six months at Honeywell USA for testing of 10000 I/O TDC 2000 system costs of $ 18 million.
