Jun’ 11 to Sep’14 KJS Cement Limited Head Process

-Accountabilities covers end to end project execution involving layout & equipment; securing government clearance; tendering; Procurement & progress tracking.

The Key Deliverables;

-Successfully completed the 2 MTPA cement project in 24 months as Project Head.

-Worked on reorientation of steam line to reduce consumption of 100 Tons of steel by bringing about change in engineering practices. This was achieved by eliminating unnecessary steel structures and simplifying steel structure design.

-Actively involved in accrued saving of INR1 Cr. in term of crane hiring charge through better planning.

-Credited with identification & introduction of new vendor/supplier, enjoying better credentials, which resulted in cost benefits.

Played a key role in introducing:

oA better supplier for conveyors erection reduced by 2 months.

oSkilled contractor for refractory laying, which led the job to be completed in a period of 4 months against the projected time 6-7 months.

-Attained an increase of 700 TPD in kiln Production by changing the raw mix design.

-Developed rain water harvest pit in the mines for storing water that could be used in summer.

-Led the development of indigenous spares for some of the imported equipment to achieve cost reduction.
