PROJECT # 1

TITLE : A STUDY ON USE OF RICE HUSK ASH IN CONCRETE PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

A feasibility study is made use Rice husk ash as an admixture to an already replaced Cement with fly ash(Portland Pozzolana Cement) in Concrete, and an attempt has been made to investigate the strength parameters of concrete .

For control concrete, IS mehtod of mix design is adopted and considering this a basis, mix design for replacement method has been made. Two different replacement levels namely 10% and 20% excluding normal mix are chosen for the study concern to replacement method.

Large range of curing periods starting form 7 days,14 days and 28 days are considering in the present study.

TITLE : DESIGN OF SEWAGE TREATMENT PLANT FOR RGUKT PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

We are designing the water treatment plant for RGUKT. The source of raw water is Chitravathi River from here through canal. The properties of water changes based on its surface source. The treatment plant which we are designing has, Present population in our rgukt 10000, Per capita water supply 135 lpcd.

TITLE : STUDY ON CHLORIDE RESISTANCE OF WASTE PLASTIC FIBER REINFORRCED SELF COMPACTING CONCRETE PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

It is the study on chloride resistance of waste plastic fiber reinforced self compacting concrete. Self compacting concrete mixes with varies percentage of waste plastic fibers like 0.0%,0.5%, 1% were developed for M40 grade concrete.

The cubes and cylinders were immeresed in 5% magnesium chloride solution for a period of

30days. The degree of chloride attacks is determine by evaluation the reduction in compressive strength,split tensile strength and percentage loss of weight of specimen.

Percentage loss of weight, loss in compressive strength and chloride penetration have decreased as the percentage of fiber increased.
