Automobile BIW Designer: I have worked on Research and Development of an SUV passenger vehicle, Where I have developed BIW Components, Skill-Lync (Dec 2020 – Present) Body Side Inner Panels

Designed and Developed A-Pillar, B-Pillar, C-Pillar, and Body Side Upper Inner Panels.

Maintained Sufficient Clearance for Spot Weld and Joined all the Body Side Inner Panels with Body Side Outer Panel by the 3-Stack Welding Process.

Rear Wheel Housing

Designed and Developed the Rear Wheel arch with Shock tower by taking reference from Class-A surface of SUV vehicle and Rear Suspension System.

Front Floor Assembly

I have Designed and Developed the Front Floor by giving Embossed Structures to Strengthen the panel and Mounted the floor side Flanges with Body Side Inner Panels and Tunnel for Spot weld. Tail Gate

Developed embossed structures and mounting holes for harness and satisfied draft analysis concerning tooling direction at a Draft angle of 7 Degree.

Took into account the manufacturing process and incorporated appropriate tool tolerance for stamping & hemming requirements in the design.

Course Projects

Course –Automotive Sheet Metal Design of Body in White – BIW components using NX CAD Engineering design of Inner & outer panel of hood using NX CAD

Design of Hood inner panel as per Euro NCAP regulations. Took into account the forces dissipated by frontal crash and pedestrian crash safety and developed embosses accordingly.

Developed both wrap-around and wrap-in hood. Designed appropriate hinge, latch & striker reinforcement. Based on hinge axis determined the latch & striker positions.

Took into account the manufacturing process and incorporated appropriate tool tolerance for stamping & hemming requirements in the design.

Design of Front Fender using NX CAD

Based on styling data of the fender, determined the side reference line to define respective wrap-around or wrap-in hood.

Designed the drip area, bumper mount area, sill mount & A pillar mount Design & development of Roof of an automotive car using NX CAD

Design ditch area to join the roof with the body side. Considered heat distortion criteria, snow load criteria and thereby calculating the number of bow roods required and the position of Bow roofs.

Designed front roof rail, center roof rail & rear roof rail reinforcements by considering the front & rear view criteria. Design & development of Tailgate using NX CAD

Followed the design methodology and designed tailgate inner panel, emboss definition, hinge and latch placement.

Incorporated design of sealing flange, determined gas stay position and designed gas stay reinforcements.

Considered & designed rear wiper mount & back door trim part as per requirements. Course –Automotive Body in White Fixture Design using CATIA V5 Design a Complete Fixture Unit for Rear Floor Panel of Car using CATIA

Prepared 3D Concept using different type of pin units and clamp units. (total 15 units)

Applied 3D finishing on whole assembly and GD & T.

Created BOM and BOP for whole product.

Course –Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerances as per ASMEY14.5M-2009 standards Assembly tolerance analysis on an Exhaust system Assembly system

Aquatic Weed Collecting Machine

The main aim of this project is to reduce the man power and Time consumption for cleaning the river. For this we have automated the operation of river cleaning with the help of a motor and chain drive arrangement by using RF transmitter and receiver are to control the cleaning machine.

Mini Project

Electrical Power Generation From Railway Track

The energy obtained from railway track is one source to generate non-conventional energy because there is no need of fuel to generate the output in the form of electrical power and this is done by using gear drive mechanism. These mechanism carries the flap, rack and pinion, freewheel, flywheel, DC generator, battery. Area of Interest

Interested to work as a BIW Design Engineer in a reputable Company and give them good solution and results with my skills.

Extra curricular / Leadership Activities

I got best Director and Editor award for SAN-KO-DHOK-TAS Telugu Horrer short film in Tirupati.

Participated in district level KHO-KHO competition.
