DUTIES: As a lead orthopedic tech I was responsible for maintain the budget for the department, training new techs, scheduling eight (8) techs for 24-hour coverage, running a orthopedic clinic, closed reduction of fractures with casting and splinting, first assist in total hips, knees, trauma, spine, shoulders, and any other orthopedic problems. Apply cervical pelvic and balance suspension traction. On occasion I would first assist on general surgery such as gallbladder, appendectomy, femoral bypass and hernia repair.
