I’ve had a work position in a library located near Elmhurst helping children with their homework after school and encouraging them to push themselves and not Procrastinate to a point where they don’t have to be distracted every 5 minutes with other children around . I’ve also volunteered in Elmhurst Hospital located at 79-01 broadway street for about a year before Covid hit. I was doing most of the office work (organizing and putting in the documents as well as the paperwork and from time to time learning how to make calls) . I also did an OSHA 10-Hour Construction Industry course!

HIGH SCHOOL FOR CONSTRUCTION TRADES, ENGINEERING, AND ARCHITECTURE -ozone park,NY
●I participated in multicultural clubs after school and I was able to learn about different cultures
●I also stayed in after school to see if my teachers needed help with anything even if that meant I didn’t get extra points as long as I was able to speak to them and see their point of view with subjects. I took it as an opportunity.
●When I would stay in clubs or after school I was able to see and understand how different everybody is for example personality wise and culture wise.
I was able to participate in this girls club which Was like more of a reunion for females who may didn’t feel as comfortable to share or communicate their thoughts or feelings with everybody. And eventually this created a safe environment for the girls to be able to communicate with one another and gain trust end it wasn’t such a toxic environment after everyone was able to speak and say how they felt which would be a factor a toxic environment but eventually after seeing their point of view and how they communicated they were able to change into a more positive and healthy mindset as well as not let a toxic environment affect them .
Awards
The NEW internship for construction being able to win with teammates our ideas and sculptures really showed me how much communication and perseverance it takes to be able to set your goals and how much work you need to put in if you want to be successful and win doesn’t matter how many trains or how early you have to wake up at the end it will always be worth it .

Hello my name is Alexandra Lopez I am currently 17 years old in my third year of high school (junior year ) going into my senior year this September. I am applying to this job to learn and get opportunities. Getting paid isn’t a priority of mine. I want to be able to expand my skills and knowledge and experience in this job and put my hard work and dedication into it . I honestly like doing a variety of things whether it’s office work, construction, architecture, trades, engineering, hospital work, library volunteer services !
