2020-08 - Current Quality Trainee

Well I am working as a Quality Trainee (Layam Flexi Solutions) in Ashok leyland Unit 2, Hosur. My job is in LINE-1 where LCV vehicles are being manufactured. I am currently working in the stage EOL[END OF LINE].My work is to perform Roller test, Side slip test and Brake test. Roller test is the most important test because the vehicle coming from line is made to sit in rollers by scanning the barcode given for the vehicle. The Wheelbase of the machine changes according to the vehicle. Then the vehicle testing is started, first reverse gear is applied and tested at 15km/hr then( 1st,2nd,3rd,4th and 5th gear) is being applied and tested at respected speeds(15km/hr,30km/hr,65km/hr and 78km/hr) .THE vehicle will reach a Maximum speed of 82km/hr and varies from vehicle to vehicle. I drive 4 different types of vehicles with different variants in each vehicle( DOST, PARTNER, BADADOST, MITR - BUS).Brake test is crucial test because brake is very important for every vehicle. first the front axle is placed on the machine and the brake is applied, the value is being displayed on the screen then the rear axle is placed and brake test is done the values are displayed on the screen. The values are checked by machines such that they meet the values being uploaded in the machine by the company officials. If the values are ok then the screen shows test completed . Side slip test is performed to check whether the tow adjusted is perfect by driving the vehicle on the machine. Tow is a adjusted in wheel alignment machine just before the vehicle reaches my control.
