Responsibilities :

1.Responsible for classroom instruction and actual instruction such as marking, cutting, structural fabrication, piping fabrication, fit-up, beveling, reading drawing (Isometrics and P&ID) and other related subjects.

2.Cascade safety practices before starting the job.

3.Maintain, install and dismantle all types of pipelines, fittings and hydraulics as required for new construction or maintenance

4.Receives instruction, blueprints and work orders for the job. Develop working procedure for the job, material requirements, scaffolding and other equipment required. Calculate bends required for piping.

5.Installs, bends, cuts, threads and cuts off piping and shapes and fabricates pipe to requirements for the job. Starts up and shuts down equipment in line with the company safety procedures and machinery under power.

6.Inspects and maintains facility piping systems, heating refrigeration and air-conditioning system, water treatment and sewer systems, burners and heaters.

7.Connect pipe and fittings, solder, braze and weld pipe and tubing; wrap, insulate and secure piping to structure where necessary.

8.Installs various types of isolation and pipe covering; removes and dispose of old coverings in line with the company hazardous waste procedures.

9.Diagnose and isolate troublesome distribution points and make corrective repairs; makes emergency repairs to offset downtime and production delays.

10.Inspect piping systems to insure safety and effectiveness of installation, especially those which convey high pressure and dangerous elements; check gauges and metering devices for measurement accuracy of pressure and flowage.

4.Issue the work permits ensuring HSE requirements.

5.Conduct safety walk through in the site in co-ordination with the safety department on weekly basis.

7.Inspect work sites to identify environmental hazards that can limit the integrity of a pipe structure

8.Utilize valve keys and wrenches to regulate liquids, steam and other gaseous substances from pipes

10.Use hand or power tools to drill holes in structures such as wall, decks to allow for pipe passage

11.Select pipe types, sizes and quantity required for a pipefitting project

12.Install and configure automatic pipe control systems.

2.Assemble and secure pipes, tubes, fittings, and related equipment, according to specifications, by welding, brazing, and threading joints.

3.Inspect, examine, and test installed systems and pipe lines, using pressure gauge, hydrostatic testing, observation, or other methods.

4.Measure and mark pipes for cutting and threading.
