General
Goal driven, task and people oriented, and a team-player are three words which describes me best. Every career opportunity that I have persued, have lead me to where I am today. I am a woman who will always try to do tasks to the best of my ability. I feel that every decision that we make, can have a positive or negative ripple effect on the greater picture. The experience from working at the Post Office learned me how to be responsible and to work with a lot of cash and stock. I was in a managerial position and learned excellent communication skills in difficult situations and problem solving issues.
Working with children with special needs taught me how to be patient and know that each individual is different and to treat every person according to his/her needs. Working with teenagers is always challenging but I benefitted from this experience to see that I have enough courage and patience to conquer every obstacle coming my way. In the duration of my time working at a huge logistic company, I experienced a whole new way of dealing with customers and suppliers and took every new programme that was implemented as a challenge to broaden my knowledge and stay up to date with the latest technology. When given the opportunity to move from the country side to Secunda, I was looking forward to this new chapter in my life. I gained experience of recruitment, learnt responsibility to ensure that employees receive their compensation according to their actual duties and hours. I will always persue the opportunity to see happy employees and employers around me. I am a hard working employee who will always strive for excellence. I have the ability to work well with people as well as cope with great amounts of stress. I am a person who will always take on every learning opportunity that comes my way and offer the strenghts I have developed to my employer. CURRICULUM VITAE – VICKY DU PLESSIS
