8-06 to Present CANON VIRGINIA. Newport News, VA

Toolmaker C. Performs machine shop work for the repair and maintenance of dies, molds, and related equipment. Inspects, cleans, repairs, assembles/disassembles, and reassembles tools and dies utilizing one or more of the following: hand tools, pneumatic tools, grinders, lathes, mills, calipers, veneers, and metric rulers. Provides instruction and guidance to Tool & Die Maker A’s and assists in their training (internal or state approved apprenticeship). Programs CNC Milling machines using various software applications.

6-99 to 7-06 HARRIS CORPORATION. Melbourne, FL (relocation to VA)

Model Shop Machinist. Aid in design and production of prototype radar/microwave and

electronics components for ground, air and satellite-based radar and tracking systems.

Responsible for machining, assembly, and inspection of complicated assemblies.

3-97 to 5-99 ATLANTIC PRECISION. Melbourne, FL (company went out of business)

Journeyman Machinist. Produce prototype precision parts for robotics and microchip industry as well as satellite parts for customers such as Harris Corporation.

9-94 to 2-97 MIGRANDY CORPORATION. Merritt Island, FL (poor working conditions)

Journeyman Machinist. Operate lathes, grinders, milling machines. Producing screws, dies, and barrels for plastics industry worldwide.

Journeyman Machinist. Machining jigs and fixtures for production departments. Review blueprints or written specifications and select tools and materials for job.
