SYNOPSIS

Dr Viresh Mahajan has a very unique and wide range of healthcare experience spanning over 23 years including academic excellence in pediatrics, neonatology, pediatric cardiology complemented with scientific research and business development roles in building international partnerships, planning and executing international missions and facilitating training opportunities for medical professionals from various countries like Iraq, Mongolia, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, South America, Zambia, Nigeria and Kenya . He has a rare mix of academics, research, marketing and building business partnership with organizations around the world .

He is currently working as Senior Clinical Pediatric Cardiologist at Fortis Memorial Research Institute, Gurgaon, India (A JCI accredited top healthcare brand in India) and also holding position of Director Pediatric Cardiac Sciences and Scientific Director of Clinical Research at Sarvodaya Hospital in Delhi NCR ( A 500 bedded tertiary hospital with NABH accreditation). He is also the Cofounder and Director for Health Consultancy Company Alliance health solutions since 2017 where the role is building international collaborations with clients across CIS countries, Iraq, Mauritius, South America, Africa and USA. He is Founding Advisory Board Member of “International Medical Tourism Chamber of Commerce (IMTCC), USA focused on setting high ethical healthcare standards and practices.

He also holds the honorary position as Medical Advisor to Three River kids Foundation, Canada as a part of his charity work since 2005 supporting treatment of children from Guyana, South America. He has won international awards for his research in pediatric cardiac science in form of one of the three top winners of Outstanding Investigator award at Philadelphia, USA at Annual Conference of Adult Congenital Heart diseases 2007 and also won the Young Investigator award in 2002 at 4th annual Pediatric cardiac society of India conference for his research paper. He also received Chairman’s Award at Max healthcare for exceptional contribution to clinical and business development in 2012. He was second runner up in National Neonatology Forum Quiz in 1998.

Prior to joining Fortis and Sarvodaya Hospital, he was working with top healthcare brands like Max Healthcare from 2005-2015 and Artemis Hospital from 2015-2019 . He was Director of Pediatric Cardiology and Medical Advisor International Patient Services at Max Healthcare (A JCI accredited top brand in India. At Artemis Hospital (JCI accredited 300 bed facility) he was holding a dual role of Director of pediatric cardiology and Director of Business Development. He presented numerous papers, abstracts and posters at National and International conferences as faculty. He also undertook short term training opportunity in Interventional Pediatric Cardiology at Children Hospital Boston, USA in 2007 and at Great Ormond street hospital, London, UK for Fetal cardiology in 2008.

He had 2 year stint as Clinical research Physician at leading Indian Multinational Pharmaceutical company (1999-2001) working on New chemical entity (NCE) and designing, conducting all activities in clinical drug development from phase 1 to early phase 3 clinical trials of this drug under ICH/GCP guidelines. The role involved designing study protocols, conducting trials as per international regulatory standards and interacting with National and International experts from UK.

Dr Viresh Mahajan has excellent team building capabilities and has led both his clinical team including pediatric cardiac surgeon, intensivist, fellow cardiologists, perfusionist, technicians, nurses and paramedical staff and marketing team looking at different areas around the globe for surgical missions, partnerships, capacity building, training and medical value travel during last 15 years.

Dr Viresh Mahajan completed his basic Medical graduation (MBBS) from premier institute Maulana Azad Medical College, University of Delhi in 1994 followed by completion of 3 year post graduation (MD) in Clinical Pediatrics from University College of Medical Sciences, University of Delhi, India in 1998 . He thereafter completed his 2 year Post-doctoral fellowship in Pediatric cardiology sub-speciality training at Escorts Heart Institute & Research Centre, Delhi from 2001-2003.
