I have always had to read and plan figures were by simple needs and functions require common solutions, so I achieve higher levels for both company and personally. Wisdom and intelligence is what I posses and given a chance at this function or any function you see best that I fit, I will still see it as a stepping stone for me at success and growth within your company.

I may not have the qualifications but I have lived and experienced similar in the past company and a good number of those years included operating and managing my own business. Unfortunately after 12 years of success, it was taken away due to unforeseen circumstances in August 2020, a lock down that costed me my business, staff and personal lifestyle and earnings.

Still, I have not taken this as failure but a bridge over the next hurdle. My past was a season that came to an end, however my future is the experiences endured physically rather than one being certified with no experience. My communication skills and planning personally, in my entirety, have always made me progress through the vision, goals and value I instill. I don't believe in planning slow, like many others, planning strategies carefully but at a quicker pace is my manner to provide positive and constructive outputs. What materializes from confidence in myself, must not affect mine nor a company to its demise, rather to our success. I want to be another source of light desirable even thou I may not posses certification but one with experience who has proficiency in bring out new ways for making customers, our citizens, the staff and everyone we come in contact with, proud of there choices through the products offered.

In order for me to do this I need to be the case good enough to your organization with the necessary company policies and procedures that would give further understanding for myself to arrange my knowledge within your company so I can always perform at my highest levels at all times.

Year: 2007 – 2020 (December)

My work experience 2007 – 2020 Opening and running my own Transport and Logistics Business included the following:

During 2006 it was evident at the time and through many achievements, I still felt I was not achieving what I really wanted at the time. The opportunities were so vast outside these walls because now more than ever it was evident that new managers less capable were being put into positions and being stagnant for too long within a company was not my style. Still young and willing I made careful calculations to open and pave the way forward at entrepreneurship.

I took the risk at what I had in funding set up through my own savings over the years and invested my provident fund to secure it. I was ready for the many challenges ahead even when failure was the highest concern. I purchased a vehicle that would carry large amounts of tools for the automotive industry and mechanics. I managed a monthly credit facility with the customers who were paying of this each week. This also motivated me to visit weekly each customer in my books and with that came referrals and new customer visits. I had consulted a family friend in the business law sector to draw up contracts that assisted with the commitments for my customers.

Achievements:

• Needs of specific functions: Better understanding at the needs of the mechanical environment used this as sourcing the right tools for the right job

• Production effeciency: Assisted mechanics with less time loss in finding a tool. Avoided the need to jump into a vehicle themselves and make way to a shop in order to purchase a tool

• Ease of shopping: I had a vehicle that you could drive right up to their business operations and allow them time to shop.

• Sales Growth: Achieved sales of 1000 per day and grew that through careful customer locations set on route planning, marcketing, advertising specials.

3 Months into business I was producing a turnover of R8000.00 per week Monday to Friday, 35% mark up on what was being sold. Sales achieved by the first financial year it reached around R416000.00 and I was basically landing a similar salary I was earning when I left. I built up equity and I was paying off the loan I gave myself and lived an average life. By 2010 I had a chance at opening a second business

• Transport and Logistics: I managed and drove my vehicle tasked with on time deliveries, customer service, staff training, security and safety.

• Growth with lower costs to business: Grew the transport business to 20 vehicles in the fleet with the use of outside contractors. This created jobs in the industry were average people who owned vehicles had no work to sustain them. I assisted them with training and onboard training for a month per person. In turn this benefited us both. Jobs created, cost reduction, increased turnover on the flip side of the coin.

Year: 2020 (December) Failure

Every ending is a stepping stone to new beginnings:

Covid, unseen to all on this planet came as a scare we never knew would make death happen so quick. We were not prepared for such. I failed so many times in the past and basically, I am at the better end because I know how to get up and have the experiences of what has made me fail. So, I keep plugging holes that cause one to fail ahead of time. We need people of maturity and practical intelligence to pave a brighter and successful future for all people, rich, poor, poor of the poorest, average and all others in between these lines. We need intelligence no doubt in my mind. But wisdom is using intelligence to make better what we have achieved, dissecting it, looking at things and people from different angles thus bringing out new ideas and new ways to better our standard for all living things, nature and humanity together.

Finally, I am a willing participant in filling a gap that involves a new beginning, what ever the position and salary gap. When a tree is cut, it does not mean it is dead, this gives life to better and healthier fruits the way forward.

Conclusion:

Education was my passion, however in the year 1991 and lower, we were living in a institutionalized segregation which was divided into three parts that I saw to be an indication of my struggles and the majority of all that were institutionalized. Politically, socially, and economically we were given the crumbs to fend for ourselves. When I reached my age and matriculated my ever need was to get out of the system we were in. So I immediately went job hunting. Furthering ones study was difficult enough, as I watched my dad, the only bread winner try his best to shelter the storm of inequality at the work place and so was it in the majority of all races that were bearing the same faith, most was in a worse situation than I. In doing so, his main function was to ensure I would finish school, food in our bellies, and a roof over our heads. Watching this struggle I had to work to soften the impact on one person. This and financial needs kept me away from furthering my studies. During this time also the country was in a frenzy due to Mr Nelson Mandela’s release in 1990. By the time changes occurred, I was in the process so diligent because I was getting the necessary teaching from within the company I worked for. So I was being promoted as well. So life started for me and I had to keep up. All the time I had I put towards working because circumstances forced it on me at the time. Today I do not regret it but I have learn’t from it and being a part of that inequalities. Therefore I say that I have the practical experiences and very little or no tertiary education.

Sincerely,

Mr. S. Ramaraju
