Project Description:

The delivery of a section of works on a 4.8 mile stretch between Portmore Roundabout to Borner’s Bridge Junction on the A361 North Devon Link Road. The works comprise of several sections of road widening between Portmore Roundabout and Filleigh Cutting. The route will be modernised with a wider carriageway. This will greatly improve overtaking opportunities, safety, and resilience. The Contract an NEC(3) Option A Fixed Price Contract with a value of £40m.

Role and Achievements:

Ensured the cost control was maintained and reported through cost value reconciliation reports.

Pro-actively monitored and managed the cost variance and reported promptly.

Developed the Activity Schedule so it was aligned with the Construction Programme.

Project Description:

Construction of 47 buildings consisting of maintenance, technical, security, and offices with over 22km of total duct bank works, soft & hard landscape, general civil works, storm water soak ways and track works. Contract type was FIDIC Orange book re-measurable. The nature of the contract was an EPC.

Role and Achievements:

Ensured the cost control is maintained and reported through cost value reconciliation reports.

Pro-actively monitored and managed the cost variance and reported promptly.

Coordinated the project monthly cost value reconciliation & report to the Contracts Manager.
