POSITION: Research Scientist
Duties:
Actively involved in the experimental physics group involved in commissioning and setting up of new scintillator detectors at the laboratory: LaBr3:Ce detectors
Ensured proper functioning of the detectors in stand-alone set up and hybrid set up such as the AFRODITE Array as well as the K600 Magnetic Spectrometer
Conducted test experiments of the new detectors and documented their performance including detector efficiency, energy and timing resolution
Setting up of experiments in an in-beam environment as well as off-beam environment.
Collection of experimental data through MIDAS Data Acquisition System using the non-conventional method of coupling method of 500MHz Digital Pulse Processing module and electronic read out card
Interpreting sorting codes written in MTSort and C++ languages
Analyzing data and explore new physics using data analysis tools such as MIDAS and Root.
Compare and interpret results with existing models and predict experimental data results with calculations such as Shell Model Calculations
