●Responsible for the overall health & safety and well being of all employees in the organization.

●Accountable for ensuring that all Contractors perform their Roles and Responsibilities in a safe and secure manner. Review all Contractors risk assessments and statement of work and ensure they are in compliance with Caterpillar’s (OSHA) EHS guidelines and local JAFZA Trakhees regulations.

●Responsible for ensuring that all warehouse tasks as evaluated prior to performing them by carrying out Safety Failure Mode & Effect Analysis assessments using a Risk scoring matrix and prepare for operational changes

●Conduct robust incident investigations for all near misses, first aid and recordable injuries with lost time by using the Root Cause & Corrective Actions (RCCA) Analysis template.

●Conduct annual EHS Audits based on Caterpillar’s EHS Assurance Manual derived from OSHA EHS Regulations.

●Responsible for creating a Compliance calendar on an annual basis to ensure Caterpillar complies with all local JAFZA Trakhees EHS & OSHA regulations.

●Responsible for evaluating Employee and Contractors Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements on a yearly basis and procure them on a quarterly basis using costing analysis and taking into account budget constraints.

●Develop and train employees on Safe Job Procedures for every equipment, machine and tools being utilized. Organize First aid & Fire Fighting training for all employees as per local regulations. Train and coach employees on EHS related topics like Confined spaces, Lockout Tagout, working at heights etc. using Caterpillar’s Learning Management System (CLMS)

●Inspect, correctly Mark, Label and complete Shipper’s Declaration for Dangerous Goods for all modes of transportations for Dangerous goods being shipped to customers using the IATA & IMDG Code of Regulation.

●Conduct Daily workplace audits in all areas of the warehouse using a buddy system to gain feedback and make workplace process improvements.

●Responsible for collaborating with third party suppliers to ensure all forklifts, lifting equipment, Cranes/Hoists etc. are tested and certified to ensure Caterpillar acquire Operational Fitness Certificate from JAFZA Trakhees.

●Collect and Analyze Environmental data including Recycling data, Greenhouse gas emissions and water consumption on a monthly basis.

●Communicate and enforce 5S principles in the workplace thus ensuring and sustaining good housekeeping practices.

●Accountable for rolling out Caterpillar safety related programs like Zero Incident Performance (ZIP) & START (Supervisor Training and Recognition Techniques), High 5 for Hand Safety etc.

●Participate and lead monthly EAME Safety committee meetings with regional HSSE leaders and senior management providing updates on safety metrics, incident investigations, facility improvements etc.

●Responsible for evaluating and conducting Ergonomic risk assessments like NIOSH Lifting equation, Rapid Upper Limb Assessment (RULA), Rapid Entire Body Assessment (REBA), Liberty Mutual Manual Materials.

●Provide Daily Toolbox talks and assist Warehouse Supervisors in conducting Safety topics during daily start-up meetings.

●Create and enforce completion of Equipment Checklist for forklifts, Reach Trucks, Order Pickers, Cranes, Conveyors etc.

●Responsible for enforcing Caterpillar’s Production system (CPS) in areas of QHSE.

●Prepare Hot Work permits, Lockout Tagout measures and ensure practices are being complied with by all Contractors.

●Responsible for the Security Management at Caterpillar Middle East Distribution Center.

●Develop and implement Business Continuity Management (BCM) and Emergency Response Plans [ERP) in response to Fires, Accidents, Utility outage, Pandemics etc.

●Develop, implement country risk assessments and test Country Evacuation Plan (CEP) in the event of a regional /, country unrest, threats etc.

●Develop and Train employees on active shooter programs and travel etiquette when travelling on business to high risk locations in Middle East & Africa.

●Coordinate with Regional Security Manager and provide travel advice and Security protocol to employees travelling to high and extreme risk locations in the Middle East & Africa region.

●Establish and audit Key performance Indicators (KPIs) for Security guards and conduct yearly Security Assessments including patrolling the facility, CCTV reviews etc.

●Responsible for creating Caterpillar’s Access Control Policy with assigning proximity access cards to Employees and Contractors.

●Responsible for coordinating with the Training center team and contractors to ensure the completion of construction of the Training Center in Dubai.
